Played a little catch-up today with my December album.  I really like the way it is coming together -- looking forward to creating more!

December Ready

This weekend I got my December Daily album ready to go.  Size is 8x8 this year in a cloth red album from Michael's.  The peek-through window in the front has a couple pieces of dot paper to make it more interesting and Stickles on the numbers to add a little bling.   For the inside, chose the Ali Edwards numbered day overlays and combined with the Teresa Collins 6x6 paper pad -- I think it is called Christmas Home.  Really liked the deep red and thought it went well with the cover.  Last year my album was more whimsical -- this year a little more elegant.  Will wait to embellish more when the photos are added. 

Starting to work on my foundation pages -- just love this project.  I have found from the other times that I have made a December Daily album, that creating the foundation pages before (see HERE and HERE) December starts is a huge time saver and helps in putting together the book in a timely manner.  To learn more about December Daily -- see Ali Edward's blog or click the December Daily button on the sidebar.   

Photos I Love

Made this little purse album a while back. Took 2 sheets of 12x12 paper (for the background), little album is from Target (I think it was around $3) and many 2x2 photos that I love.

Quick Year in Review

I make these little photo collages every month to send to my grandmother. I mount them on cardstock and then on the back I write a little note about the happenings that month and then when she receives it it goes on a little binder ring album. One day, walking through Wal-Mart it hit me that I could keep those memories in one of their little $1 albums. I changed out the paper in on the cover, customized it and then added journaling pages. The journaling is hand done and I have a digital file that does this, but decided I could just do it myself -- to include the name of the month in the squiggly line. I also have pages that show birthdays, swim lessons and our photo from our Christmas card.

Amusement Park Mini

I take my camera evey time we go to the local amusement park, which means I end up with TONS of photos on the same rides. Can only scrap so many pages like this, so decided to take some of my favorites from last year and put in a mini book. I picked up this one either at Archiver's in the Hot Spot area of at Michael's -- can't remember as I have had it for awhile. Paper is American Crafts. I used the "recipe" that was on Write, Click, Scrapbook a few weeks back, but had to change some pages due to my photos and their orientation. Like the popped-up titles on each page -- gives a little dimension. This is one of my favorite projects and was literally put together in an afternoon.

Finally made one of these cute little books. From Big Picture Scrapbooking -- Projects to go section. This was an old Snow White board book -- how about that for recycling!

Album in a Year - part 2

June through September

Album in a Year

Completed this album based on the CK article last year -- Album in a Year by Amanda Probst. Visit her site for complete layout ideas. I totally copied her ideas, and I love the results. Complete up to September --- hopefully will finish the last 3 months soon! This was all done digitally -- all pages are 8x8, but showed sewn together here. Not every page has the month in the title, so there is a month and year "stamp" in the corner of each layout.

What I have been up to...

Just when I thought things would slow a bit...ha! This past weekend was my parent's 40th wedding anniversary -- got the idea last Monday to make them a little "well wishes" book. Sent emails to their friends and our family and just put it together. Sounds simple, except that I was at their house Tuesday thru Thursday and could not work on it then, other than to send emails. Crazy crunch time on Friday, but I got it put together and I think it looks pretty good. Used my CM Storybook to create the pages (thank God for copy and paste) and I am quite thankful that a) my computer worked perfectly last week and b) I did not run out of ink for my printer!

This week I have to get it in gear to plan a Dora birthday party for Emily (on Sunday)! Always something!

And...still December

More from the December thing -- these are all the pages complete to date -- hopefully more completed today.

I changed my music option at the bottom --- was starting to annoy me. So, it is still there, just does not start automatically. :)

It is my hope to be out of December before the end of January!! :)

December Daily -- catching up!

Worked on my book some more last week until I ran out of pictures. Picked up the rest of the pictures at Walgreens yesterday, so hopefully will finish soon. I am ready to put this project to bed! Will post more either later today or tomorrow. Oh, and figures -- Walgreens extended their 10cent pictures on 50 or more. Glad that I can get some more developed for 1/2 price, but kind of irritated that I stayed up late uploading photos when I could have been getting my beauty sleep!

December Daily - 10

More pages -- I know we are not supposed to say we are behind, but I am!! Christmas prep getting the best of me -- hope to finish up today -- :)
