The Making of a Christmas Card

Just too many crazy things happened while trying to get the Chirstmas card photo this year to let it go by undocumented. The cards are made, stuffed in envelopes and addressed and now I am thinking the out takes would have made a better card. Oh well, maybe an idea for next year.   I am making this my December Daily page for today.  Will post days 1-7 tomorrow ---- decided to ditch the digital and am going traditional -- I just cannot give up working with paper.

December Daily 2012

This year I am doing a digital version but also a traditional version. I guess I am afraid I won't keep up with the traditional one, so I am doing both. I am experimenting with the traditional album -- not doing day by day but event based. Since I am horribly behind in my PL album, thinking maybe the day by day thing will not happen -- figure I can abandon the digital one and won't be to big of a deal -- experimenting -- we will see. Used Cathy Z's November album design for the basis for my digital version -- this is awfully easy -- I may be digitally swayed!

Starting to work on my foundation pages -- just love this project.  I have found from the other times that I have made a December Daily album, that creating the foundation pages before (see HERE and HERE) December starts is a huge time saver and helps in putting together the book in a timely manner.  To learn more about December Daily -- see Ali Edward's blog or click the December Daily button on the sidebar.

Cold outside today, so was able to do a little catching up on the album... (NOTE: the black border is for blog posting purposes only --- does not have this part in my book)

Day One (for real) and Day Two

Looking pretty good -- glad I decided to do this this year! I am using a 6x6 American Crafts album, however had to add some pages, so some coming up will be 4x6. Definitely a mini-album this year!

Yes, I am crazy enough to make a digital and paper version! I was only going to make paper, and probably still will, but just received my winnings from my CM consultant's open house and had to try it out!

Planning...

Made a new Christmas planner this year -- mine was shot. This was made from scraps around the craft room --- had to reteach myself how to use the Zutter --- I think I need more practice.

Signs of the Season...

My take on Ali's Advent cards.

Made these decorative hand sanitizers for the girls classrooms --- after having sickness in our house this weekend, I do NOT want it to come back (and we had it easy). The tag says "Wishing You a Happy, Healthy, Holiday Classroom."

Little sign created in the toy room -- interesting to see if they keep up with it -- I do not think it is right right now.
